SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Reconnect with your dreams, follow your plan and set your sights high.”

Working in the film industry in Calgary, Alberta, is a life of feast
or famine. When work is plentiful, you rarely have time to connect with friends and family. When work is scarce, so is the income. In 2002, baby Frances was born and I was hesitant to go back to work. Before I knew it, baby Alexandra was on her way and I had to go back to work to collect maternity benefits. After doing makeup work on three movies back to back, Ali was born and I knew for certain I could not return to working full time. I wondered, why have children if you cannot share in their lives?

I love helping people help themselves feel and look great, but I could not figure out how to set up my own business. Enter Arbonne. I received the “gift” by chance and opened it up, not clearly realizing what I had. At first, the makeup was my primary interest; then it occurred to me if my Clients used the skin care, the makeup would look that much better! Lastly, I recognized the ground-level opportunity we have here in Canada. Needless to say, I bought every product so I could share them with everyone! One year after doing Presentations, I incorporated the Arbonne=REsults™ reach out method. Presently, I do three things to grow my business: The Arbonne=REsults™ reach out method, Arbonne=REsults™ Presentations and regular Presentations. I enjoy the variety and it keeps my business fresh.

My beautiful girls, Frances and Alexandra, have always been my reason Why, but recently something happened that changed my world. I signed a personal contract at an Area Retreat in Tulsa, Oklahoma, hosted by ENVP Carol Egelston and RVP Cody Farmer. The contract stated that I would be an RVP by June 30th. I bumped up the date to the 29th and actually finished on the 28th. I did not tell anyone, had a quiet celebration and went to bed. The next morning, my mom called to tell me my 42-year-old sister had passed away in the night. Annie had a lifetime of struggles with her health, but her death came as a complete surprise and shock to our family. Even as I write my Eye on Arbonne story, we are still grieving. From that moment on, I have questioned my existence here on earth. I have not figured it out yet, but I do know one thing: Life is short, and much shorter for some. There is no better time than now to live. Reconnect with your dreams, follow your plan step by step and set your sights on the top. You will be so glad you did.

To my sister, Annie: Thank you for teaching me generosity and thoughtfulness. You are my angel and I miss you so much.

To my lovely little ladies, Frances and Alexandra: You are my reason Why. To “big daddy,” Jeff: You are a great father. To my mom and dad, Carol and Sam, Brian, Sara and Zoe: You are everything to me. To my grandma: You are a force.

To my Clients and Consultants who purchase product at the discount: You are my foundation.

To DMs, Michele Andrews, David Boyko, Lynette Deans, Wendi Kerr, Laura and Stelios Komianos, Charmaine Sharkey, Shelley Quesnel, Jennifer Randell, Debbie McGregor, Monique Bourgeois, Manon Fauvelle, Pierre Gauthier, Josee Leduc, Carole L’Ecuyer and Anna Kowalewski: Keep on moving.

To AM Tracey McRae: RVP is just around the corner, baby!

To NVP Tiffany Haugrud, RVP Laura Cotton, RVP Rena Benner, RVP Erin Van Imshoot, RVP Susan Carcamo, RVP Melinda Thompson, AM Babett Valachi and AM Marla Minich: Shine on, sisters!

To ENVP Carol Egelston, NVP Cody Farmer and ERVP Barbara Nelson: It is such a pleasure to know you all.

To President Rita Davenport: It was grand meeting you at the President’s Circle Reception at NTC 2006 St. Louis. To Chairman & CEO Bob Henry: I told you to look out for my Eye on Arbonne success story, and here it is. To the Arbonne Home Office staff: Thank you for everything, especially for opening an Arbonne Canada branch office!
