SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Make a commitment, set goals, be consistent and teach others to do the same.”

When my mother approached me about the Arbonne opportunity 10 months ago, my first thought was, “No way!" I am too busy already.” I have to admit, I was a little more than hesitant about the business side of Arbonne. I wondered how on earth could I possibly make time for another business along with raising our two young children. You see, my husband and I ranch full time and run an oilfield contracting company. We already had too many irons in the fire to even think of adding anything else. Sadly, most people close the door on a golden opportunity because they believe, like we did, that it requires more effort and attention than what they are willing or able to devote.

Fortunately, my mom was very persistent because she saw the big picture of the Arbonne opportunity long before I did. I told her that I was not open to another network marketing venture as I had been burned by one before. I just was not interested! A few weeks later, she finally convinced me to sign up as a Consultant so I could get the products at a discount. In doing so, I was discreetly placed in the middle of the business, just in case I changed my mind. Very clever on her part! Well, soon after, I agreed to host a small Presentation with a few of my friends one afternoon. I was sure they would not be interested in another “in-home” party so I had low expectations. I told my mom not to mention the business and to keep the Presentation short. To my surprise, they loved every minute of it! I almost fell off my seat. Reluctantly, I ordered my Host specials to experience the products for myself. I was excited about the products but was very careful not to say that out loud. I had finally found a company with a reputation for integrity that provided pure, safe, beneficial skin care which produced results. I immediately thought how easy it would be to promote something I truly believed in.

Not long after, three of my closest friends, AMs Jamie Wolfe and Jocelyn Gomolchuk and DM Lara Willows-Cross, showed interest in the business. I realized it was time for me to make a commitment. This was not going to be a hobby. I wanted to jump in with both feet and run with it so that I did not have to work ridiculous hours in our trucks anymore. I wanted my Arbonne business to be successful because I longed to be home with my children. My Why from the very start was to be at home with my family and not have financial stress. I wanted to make my own decisions, set my own hours and still contribute to our household income. I recognized that all the reasons Why I was doing Arbonne would keep me busy and away from home for a while. But I believed that the short-term sacrifices would result in long-term gain! If I could only allow myself to work incredibly hard for a season, I knew I would be able to return home for good. Who knew that goal was less than a year away! If you are willing to make a commitment and stick with it to the end, nothing will stop you. I made a choice and that is what it takes. You will work, but it will all be worth it. As they say, the best way to predict the future is to create it yourself.

One of the greatest things about the Arbonne business is the relationships I have gained; some new ones and some rekindled ones. I can honestly say that true joy comes from helping others get to where they want to be. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to help others achieve their vision of freedom. I read somewhere that teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. What that takes is commitment by all including the sponsor. When we sponsor someone, we go to work for them. We are in the business of helping others take control of their lives. That is exactly it. Something to remember is that not every person’s Why will be the same; however, you need to keep your Why in focus because it will always be your motivation.

To my SuccessLine: I am so thankful for my team. Thank you for your dedication and persistence. Thank you for trusting me. A fantastic career is one that enables you to build your dream with your family and friends beside you. Together, we are on the most incredible journey together. I know that each and every one of you is a leader and I cannot wait to see you driving your Mercedes-Benzes. Remember to set goals, be consistent and work your business every day in some way!

To ENVP Jaclyne Kunz: Thank you for your help when I was so new. You were just as eager to help as I was to run.

To my husband, Luke: I am so grateful for you. You saw the opportunity before I did. Thank you for your love and support, as well as for believing in and encouraging me on those days I could not have done it myself. You have been my rock!

To my children, Ethan and Makayla: You are my Why and I love you more than you can imagine. Thank you for your patience and your cuddles. You two are what keep me going.

To my mom and dad: You have dedicated yourselves to my family. Dad, you are always willing to drop everything in a second to help. Thank you for your support and computer skills. Mom, you have selflessly juggled your life to help us in so many ways. Thank you!

To my in-laws, Danny and Dorothy: Thank you for everything you do for us. I know how blessed I am to have you so close. I am grateful for your support. I value your help more than you could ever know.

I need to thank God more often for this opportunity. I pray for guidance and wisdom for the team He helped me build. I know there are reasons that I am doing this which I have yet to realize.
