SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Stop waiting for it. Go get it!”

Two years ago, I was living an ordinary life. A good life, even a great life — two beautiful children, a loving husband, a nice home with a small mortgage, two vehicles, a family-operated grain and purebred cattle farm, a dog, cats and horses. It was wonderful, but I felt there was something more for our family. Not more materially, just more. Have you ever felt that way? I believe that I was designed with a special combination of skills and abilities and that I am meant to do amazing things with them. I believe that I am meant to live an extraordinary life. And I believe that about you, too!

My favourite quote says that our talents are God's gift to us. What we do with those talents is our gift back to Him. We are all created with greatness inside us — and our main job is to figure out what we're supposed to do with it. Once we realize and believe that, we'll be able to recognize the ways in which we can do it. I think this company is the way for me to do it.

I was officially introduced to Arbonne through a sample pack given to me by ERVP Kerrie Sparrow, who is now my good friend and sponsor. One day, she asked me to try this anti-aging skin care line. Honestly, the only reason I accepted it was because I didn't know her well enough to offend her by saying no. I didn't try it for several days. I was secretly hoping it would give me a rash so I could say, “Thanks, but no thanks.” Obviously, that did not happen! I loved the products right away and once I discovered that I could order them at a discount with no further commitment, I placed my order. I definitely did not recognize the opportunity right away.

Prior to making the decision to stay home and raise our two young children, Kylie and Owen, I enjoyed an executive career in agriculture. I am a born and raised ranch girl, so one of my passions is the agriculture industry. I enjoyed my career, but I wanted to enjoy my kids without feeling guilty about being at work, and enjoy my work without feeling guilty that I wasn't with my kids. Raising my kids full time was the answer — at least it seemed like it until it sunk in that our entire livelihood depended on the weather, the value of the Canadian dollar, the trade policies of other countries and several other things that are out of our control. Now, don't get me wrong, life on the farm is exactly what we want, but it was suddenly a little bit scarier for me. I sure didn't want Bryan to give it up. We all love it. Frankly, I was looking for the perfect solution — one that would allow me to work part-time from home, around our family and farm schedule, and provide me with a generous income. Pretty tall order. I thought it didn't exist.

It took about six months of invitations before I finally attended an Arbonne Opportunity Presentation. I was blown away by the simple business model, the income potential, and the fact that the company was new to Canada and the products are in line with the number-one consumer trend of health and wellness. On top of all that, I got to meet ordinary women making a generous income and driving a white Mercedes-Benz they received through Arbonne's Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus Program. I thought, “If I could do even half of what these women have done for themselves and their families for me and mine, I'm in!” I launched my business three days later. I'm not sure I can put into words the difference this has made for my family and me. I am so blessed to stay home and raise my children, while still growing personally and establishing a business. Bryan continues to farm full time. I get to help my husband on the farm and still enjoy involvement in the beef industry that I love so much. Not only did I not have to choose between my family, the farm and a career, but also I have grown in all three areas.

I have been able to build a strong business, including a team of women working to fulfill their own dreams and passions. My income as an Arbonne Independent Consultant now matches my full-time income as an executive. And every time I walk into my garage, I am so thankful for that beautiful white Mercedes-Benz and all it represents.

This business has opened my eyes to a truly extraordinary future that was once only a dream. I model perseverance, determination, passion and faith in my business and as a mom. Every day, I move a little closer to fulfilling the greatness I am meant to achieve in my life through serving others. Sometimes I can hardly believe that it can be any better than this, but I know that we've only scraped the surface! If you are wondering whether this business is the answer, stop wondering and get started. You and your family deserve the extraordinary life for which you are designed. Stop waiting for it. Go get it!

Thank you to my dear friends and upline, ERVP Kerrie Sparrow and NVP Leah Emmerson. You are amazing leaders, mentors and friends. There really are not enough words.

To my first business partner, AM Carissa Haaland: Thank you for your determination and commitment to a brighter future for your family.

To EDM Michelle Conan: You are a superstar — imagine driving to your medical school convocation in a white Benz (with no student loans!).

To my District Managers and Consultants: You are in the right place at the right time. Set your sights on big things; you can achieve them. See you at the top!

To all the leaders who have paved the way for us: Thank you for never quitting.

To my loving and supportive husband, Bryan: Your unwavering belief in me (even if you weren't sure about the business in the beginning) is my rock. Without you, it simply would not be worth it. I love you.

To my kids, Kylie and Owen: You are the reason I do this. You have been specially designed to do amazing things in this world. Listen carefully to your heart and work hard to fulfill your dreams! I love you more than you know.

Thanks to God for all of the blessings in my life and for guiding me to a way to help others.
