SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“The only thing worse than fear is regret.”

Although Juliann Whitney of Ottawa, Ontario, had experienced many dreams come true, it was Arbonne that has been the vehicle to help her achieve all she wanted in life at a time when she needed it most.

Prior to Arbonne, my husband Barry and I were in careers we both loved. Barry is a university professor, and my work was in broadcast journalism. After a decade of meaningful yet demanding adventures in reporting, anchoring, directing and producing, I realized that I wanted not only a meaningful career, but also more time with the people I loved.

I was invited to an Arbonne Presentation at the home of NVP Stephanie Swaney. I was impressed by the quality of the people I met. Many had admirable lifestyles with family-first priorities and came from all sorts of backgrounds, from doctors and lawyers, to stay-at-home moms and everything in between.

After trying a few samples of the Arbonne vitamins and protein powder, Barry and I fell in love with the products and saw an incredible difference. I was then open to trying Arbonne skin care. This led us to researching the ingredients in our former products. We were appalled, since we discovered that many of these nutritional and skin care products were far from healthy. I felt compelled as a woman, a journalist and a consumer to help others become more educated as consumers.

Nonetheless, I was reluctant to join the Arbonne team. This was not in my "plan"! But I craved freedom and flexibility more than anything after years of being on everyone else's time clock. I wanted to work with people of my choice, and I wanted flexibility as to where I worked. I realized Arbonne would grant this kind of freedom.

We also liked the idea that I could do this at my own pace, and we decided that even if I could make one quarter of my previous income, it would be worth it to taste some freedom. Since health was more important than ever, I looked forward to being involved in the health and wellness industry with products I knew would deliver. The business model made a lot of sense. We were impressed with the insights from economists and other professors who affirmed this industry is the future.

That was almost five years ago. As I write this, we have just purchased our dream cottage on a lake in the woods, thanks to Arbonne! We have been able to retire Barry four years early and have moved to our dream city, surrounded by family in Ottawa, Canada. We exercise daily together and live life on our terms. Moreover, I am blessed beyond words to be mentored by and work with a team of some of the best women I have known.

It has been humbling and challenging, back in the mailroom in a whole new industry. My mentors coach me personally via telephone, webinars and at trainings. I was able to learn our clear step-by-step system at my own pace. It has been a privilege for me to do the same with many others and to watch them experience life makeovers in so many ways. I have found my tribe and my work is so meaningful.

If this is striking a chord, take some time to ask yourself: Do you love the idea of doing something meaningful for some extra lifestyle money? Do you yearn for more control over your life, more flexible hours, and to live life on your terms? When you go to work, do you feel that something isn't right or is missing? Do you feel like you are disconnected from your spouse or not involved with your kids? Does it seem impossible to fit one more thing into your already hectic schedule? Do you think you might not have what it takes to be successful with Arbonne? I can tell you, if you are coachable and motivated, you can create a life you have only dreamed of.

I am indebted to many people for my success. I thank ENVP Deana Wilkinson for the many hours of wise coaching and friendship. Our Region is honoured to be under your wing. To ENVPs Dawn Frank, Phoebe Fournier, Louise Fowler and Barb Armstrong, and NVP Stephanie Swaney: Thank you for all you do.

To all the Consultants and leaders on our team: I could write pages about each of you and your precious teams. Thank you for your dedication.

To AM Kelly Flynn, DM Carm St. Pierre and DM Wendy Bolf: Thank you for your part in pioneering our system here in Canada. It is an honour to work with you. To AM Lois Warren, DM's Jaclyn Bradley, Angela Batley, Ida de Sousa, Carla Penny, Renee Reccord and Leslie Curry: Thank you for linking arms and adding strength, diversity and spunk to our team.

We are also grateful to our parents and to God for the many blessings in our lives and the best "plan."

Finally, to Barry: I am honoured to share this life with you. Thank you for your ongoing counsel, support and love.
