“Your goals can motivate you and put you into action when you decide.”

I have heard that success is living your life the way you want to and not the way you have to. Because of the gift of Arbonne, my family's decisions are made with financial comfort and time flexibility. When Arbonne was introduced to me in October of 2006, I was only interested in the products. I told everyone I knew how amazing they were, but the thought of starting my own Arbonne business did not appeal to me. I was already busy enough and I really didn't understand the big picture. How could selling lipstick and skin care possibly give me great income potential or freedom and flexibility? I decided to look into it more seriously when I learned that the “company vehicle” is a Mercedes-Benz, and then when I heard about the success that normal, everyday women were having, I needed to see for myself. I am grateful and blessed that I eventually did decide to listen to the little voice inside my head that kept asking, “What if it does work?” I took a leap of faith and jumped in with both feet. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

In January of 2006, I launched my Arbonne business and I have never looked back. As President Rita Davenport says, “Don't be afraid of what will happen if you do — be afraid of what will happen if you don't.” My life was ready for a positive change and I decided I needed to be the one to take control and create my own future.

When I started my Arbonne journey, it was my goal to become an Area Manager by the time my first son was born. I didn't want to worry about having to go back to work, but I also didn't want to worry about the financial burden that it would create if I didn't go back. On April 1, 2006, my first Arbonne goal was achieved and we became an Area. On April 20, 2006, Nolan Patrick was born. I had reached the goal of Area Manager within the first three months, and it gave me so much energy and excitement to be truly in control of my own success. I quickly reset my goal and on October 1, 2006, we became a Region. My second goal with Arbonne had also been accomplished. It is amazing how your goals can motivate you and put you into action when you decide. I am happy to say I have never had to go back to work.

For the next four years, I enjoyed living a very comfortable lifestyle and I loved having my own business. On October 13, 2009, my second son, Nate Glenn, was born and I decided it was time to reach another very important goal. I set the goal to become a National Vice President.

One year later, on November 1, 2010, we were able to become a Nation thanks to the effort, passion and dedication of the amazing women in this SuccessLine.

I can't even imagine what my life would have been like if I had let this opportunity pass me by. The friendships my family and I have made and the people we have met are above all the best part of this amazing experience. When Arbonne came into my life five years ago, I was asked the question, “Where do you see yourself five years from now?” At that time, I did not have an answer I could be excited about, so I knew I needed to make a change. Now, five years later, when I am asked the same question, the answers seem endless. I am so excited to be able to dream again.

I have learned so much on this journey. Arbonne is a company that truly helps others. It might be because the amazing products help you look and feel better, or it might be that you are able to reach the freedoms you desire in your life. The Independent Consultants who are successful in this business are those who are there to help others get what they want. Everyone is cheering you on. Network marketing is quickly becoming an alternative for so many. People are looking for this. They are looking for a way to have more time with their families while still enjoying a great lifestyle. More and more people want to be their own boss. I didn't have any experience with this industry, but the training and tools provided made it so easy to learn as I went along. I didn't have to know everything, and what I didn't know I could easily find out from the amazing support of the people around me.

To my sponsor and dear friend, ENVP Tammy Van der Veen: Thank you for your never-ending patience. Your calming nature is something I will always admire. You are an amazing leader and a good friend. Kevin, Nolan, Nate and I are looking forward to all of the fun we will have with your family in the coming years.

To my upline, ERVP Heather Hiemstra and ERVP Tobi Shutz: Thank you for your guidance and support in Arbonne and in life. You are both part of some of the most amazing memories.

To upline ENVP Sonya Shields, ENVP Tammy Braithwaite and ENVP Karen Skeels: You have all been there for me anytime I needed you. I appreciate all of your help and genuine desire to help us all succeed. You have paved the way.

To ERVP Danyel Scharnberg: Thank you for seeing the vision from the very first day. You were looking for something to invest in and you saw the potential and success this opportunity and company had to offer you and your family. You jumped in with both feet and refused to give up regardless of the obstacles in your way. Thank you for believing from the beginning.

To RVP Amanda Mouait: You were my very first business builder and we have done this together. We said we would be driving our white Mercedes-Benzes and that is exactly what we are doing. I can't imagine what this journey would have been like without you by my side. Thank you for being there through all the peaks and valleys. Most of all, thank you for always believing in me.

To RVP Sabrina Waldner: I love your enthusiasm and desire to be the best that you can be. You are full of life and fun. No challenge will ever come between you and your goals. You are the perfect example of perseverance. I know as you move forward on this journey, we will continue to see an amazing leader evolve.

To Area Manager Shana Rimmer: You are one of the most patient, understanding and beautiful people I have ever met. Your kind heart and determination will keep you going all the way to ENVP. You have grown so much as a leader and you continue to grow each day. Your team is very lucky to have you as their upline.

To Area Manager Sarah Werienga: You have the vision and belief that is required to take this to the top. I admire you for many things — among them your willingness to do what it takes. You are on your way and I know it won't be long until you are driving that new, shiny white Mercedes-Benz.

To ERVP Nicole Plandowski, ERVP Tara Anderson and RVP Claire McKay: Thank you for being such incredible women. I appreciate you and your amazing team of leaders. I love having you all by my side. I could never have done this without all of the amazing women in this SuccessLine.

To all of the Consultants, District Managers and Area Managers: This is a team effort and I am so grateful for all of the support you have always shown me. I have learned so much from you amazing ladies. Every one of you had a part in building our Nation and I appreciate and love you with all of my heart.

To my Why, Nolan and Nate: I am so blessed that this opportunity has given me the ability to be at home with you every day to watch you grow and learn. You are my reason for wanting to do more and be more. I love you to the moon and back.

Kevin, you are the most patient man I know. You have always understood what this business meant to me, and you stand by my side with all the support I could ever need. We have built this organization together, and you have had a major part in all of it. I love you. Thank you for everything.

To Mom and Dad: Thank you for raising me to really believe that I could do anything I put my mind to. You have supported me from the very beginning and you have been there to help us out whenever needed. Thank you.

A big thank you to my family, friends and Clients who have always supported me and my Arbonne business. Thank you for your customer loyalty and love of the products. I appreciate all of you.

Thank you to Arbonne Canada. John, you are the glue that holds it all together and I am so thankful that we have you. You have always helped smooth the bumps in the road for Arbonne Canada.

Michelle McPhie, you are amazing. Your words of wisdom will always be appreciated. Thank you for all that you do and for always taking the time.

Once you say no to an opportunity, it is gone. So are all of the other opportunities that go with it. This is not an opportunity that you want to miss out on.
