SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Dream big, be unstoppable, celebrate, work hard and play even harder.”

You only have one shot on this planet. What you do with it every day matters. You need to live your life in ways that thrill you, to stand for what you believe in and to create the life you want.

I began in Arbonne two years ago. I have two beautiful children, Reece, 9 and Casimir, 4. I am a working actor and a published writer. Those are my passions. However, my income in that area has always been unpredictable. So, I also worked in the service industry for more than a decade.

I was introduced to Arbonne through my sister in law, Tina Overbury. She asked me to host a Presentation while she was launching her business. She had this “crazy” idea that this was going to save her marriage, save her mortgage and get her home with her kids. She told me she thought this would be a good business for me, but I wasn’t interested in direct sales. After hearing the Presentation, I understood that this was an incredible opportunity in Canada. I was not looking at it for me, but I could see how it might be the perfect thing for her. Then I fell in love with these products. I fell in love with what they stand for, what they are made of, and what they did for my skin and my son’s eczema.

I admit my competitive edge, and I thought that if that sister-in-law of mine gets a white Mercedes-Benz in a year, and if I did not at least look at this, I would kick my butt. So I did my research and launched my Arbonne business three weeks later.

In the beginning, it was about simply making enough that I could replace my part-time income managing at a catering company. I aimed to be self-employed and to have ownership of my work. I would work part-time and when my kids were in bed; my art and my family could be the priority. As it happened, I quickly replaced that income. Then 2 things happened that I didn’t expect. I fell in love with what I do – it was not just about the products anymore, it was about this business, my team and the people. Then I had my big “ah ha.” I realized that if I kept doing what I was already doing my business would just keep growing and I would not stay at my old income cap. All of my “If I won the lottery” dreams, like traveling around the world with my kids and owning my private beach home, moved onto my calendar and to-do list. If I just kept going, creating the life I dreamed of would inevitably happen.

Though this business is a journey, it not an easy one. Yet, nothing in life worth having is easy. I have grown, I have stretched and I have been challenged. There were times that I thought about quitting. You must have clear vision and a burning desire to make it happen. Then make a plan and be unstoppable. I am growing into an incredible leader for my team. I needed to get better for them and in doing so, I grew my own life.

I promoted to Regional Vice President 21 months after launching my business and four months after my sponsor, Tina, promoted to Region. I am now an entrepreneur that works part time, makes a great income, and has all my priorities in life – I get to go to the beach with my kids, travel, grow and celebrate.

There are many things that you can see that I have in my life now, but there is a line in my favorite story that says, “What is essential is invisible to the eye.” I would like to share with you what I have that you cannot see:

I have learned just how much I have to give. I have also learned that I can do anything and that I can have it all. Knowing that is powerful beyond measure. I have taught my children through my example that they can do and be anything they want in life. They have told me so.

And lastly, the relationships that I have, have grown my heart. I am part of an incredible team, as a leader that gets gifted daily by these astounding people who raise the bar in life every day.
