“Remove the option to quit from day one!”

I always knew I would enjoy the good life one day. I just did not know when, or more importantly, how. Going into my tenth year as a dental assistant, I was possibly the only person I knew that loved my job and looked forward to going to work. However, I was not getting ahead, I was just getting by. When I was introduced to Arbonne, I was newly married. My husband is from Germany, and because of the immigration process, he was unable to work for a year. We relied solely on my dental income and were living paycheck to paycheck.

We knew we wanted to start a family in the near future, and that would mean living on one income again. I knew this was out of the question and I had to find a way to stay at home and make money.

I reunited with a high school friend, RVP Carly Struik, and had been seeing her regularly. I noticed a change in her skin and asked if she was doing something differently. She said she had started using a skin care line from a company called Arbonne, and said she was thinking about selling its products. Pregnant with her first baby, she was looking for a way to stay home while leveraging her time to earn income. I could not stop thinking about the possibilities this product could bring and asked for a sample. I admit I was a little skeptical at first, as I used very high-end products. I used the sample faithfully for the next four days and noticed a glow!

I thought of starting other businesses, but they all required more time and money than I could afford. I asked a lot of questions about the business and it had everything I was looking for. The start-up costs were minimal and I could build my business aside my full-time job.

In March 2006, I started my Arbonne business. I was nervous, because I did not see myself as a salesperson. I soon found out that it was not about selling, but more about sharing my love of the product and the opportunity. I believe it was the passion in my voice that had people wanting to know more. You do not need to know everything before you start. When you love the product and believe in the opportunity, it is easy to share with others.

My Why, Tova, was born on March 6th, 2008. Within months of her birth, I doubled my full-time income, bought a new home and took advantage of Arbonne’s Mercedes-Benz cash bonus program. We were also fortunate enough to go to Germany to visit my husband’s parents, whom we do not get to see often. Best of all, I do not have to go back to work! None of this would be possible if I had not been introduced to Arbonne and decided to make it work no matter what.

If you are reading this today, thinking of starting this business, ask yourself this: If you keep doing what you are doing, where will you be in five years? Will you be able to travel, save for retirement or own your dream home and still have time to spend with family and friends? A wise man said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. If you want your life to change, you have to change.
