“There are no secrets to my success — just simple persistence and perseverance.”

Shana Recker of London, Ontario was a corporate employee with no opportunity for advancement, and a strong desire to be free to make her own choices. Arbonne gave her what she was looking for!

Before Arbonne, I was a corporate nine-to-fiver with kids in daycare and afterschool programs. I was working hard every day with no ladder to climb. I've always disliked having a boss — someone who dictates when I work, when I leave and more importantly, when I take vacation. In the corporate world, I had to use precious vacation time to stay home when the kids were sick. Trading what should have been a fun day with my family for a day at home that is anything but fun really frustrated me.

My friend Pamela Palmer introduced me to Arbonne in August of 2010, while I was on maternity leave with my third child. I told my husband just before Pam came over, “You know I'm going to have to buy something, and she is going to want me to do the business!” I became a Preferred Client and bought the ABC Arbonne Baby Care® set. Pam told me about RE9 Advanced™ and left a sample. Two days later, my skin was glowing! After my husband and I did thorough research on the company, I thought, “What have I got to lose?” I jumped in with both feet! I figured at the very least, I'd get a good discount and possibly make some extra money each month.

From that day forward, my life changed in many ways. Arbonne has allowed me to retire from my job as a senior graphic designer and I'm now my own boss! I don't own an alarm clock and I can be home with my children when they are sick, without all the guilt and frustration. No more daycare or afterschool programs. I am able to attend all the field trips, class plays and pizza lunches, which my children love. I have earned more gifts, lavish trips and recognition in my short time with Arbonne than in all my years in the corporate world. Arbonne has made me a stronger person and has allowed me to show my family that with hard work and determination, nothing is impossible!

I continue to develop personally with each challenge — I see obstacles as an opportunity to grow stronger. I've seen it all: cancellations, no-shows and countless excuses. There are no secrets to my success — just simple persistence and perseverance. Remove the option to quit and you will make it to the top.

I did not get here alone; I have an incredible support system, starting with my amazing upline. EAM Pam Palmer changed my life for the better and I am forever grateful. Without her, I would never have been introduced to Arbonne. Looking forward to many more years travelling the world together!

Thank you for taking care of everything without question when times got busy, and for listening to me talk Arbonne 24 hours a day. You mean the world to me and becoming Regional Vice President was definitely a team effort that you are very much a part of. I love you dearly.

My kids, Jack, Dylan and Ryan, are my Why for doing this business. Being able to attend all of their school events and seeing their faces when I walk into the classroom on pizza lunch days just melts my heart and is a constant reminder of why I have an Arbonne business.
