SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Work smarter, play harder, love lots, give more.”

I always like to give a little gift to the guest at the Presentation who really didn't want to be there, because that was me 10 months ago...

In March of 2008, I was doing our farm books and realized we were broke. We own/operate a fruit and vegetable farm in northern Saskatchewan and had just finished a season that was devastating financially. I was working 20 hours a day, seven days a week, with six jobs, trying to make ends meet. Our household bills far outweighed the income the farm generated and we were drowning in debt. Not exactly were I pictured myself at 37.

I knew that somehow I was going to have to find time for a “real” job off the farm so we didn't lose our home. I was lucky to get a position at the Canada Post and was introduced to Arbonne at the same time. I was literally one day away from adding water to milk to feed our four kids breakfast. And as crazy as it sounds, I took my last $10 to an Arbonne Presentation; I felt so bad, as the Consultant was driving eight hours to do this Presentation, knowing there was only one guest attending.

I sat and listened to Aislinn talk about the amazing products and opportunity, and halfway through the Presentation I jumped off the couch and said, “I will sell these products!” I was really impressed by the pure, safe and beneficial aspect. But even more than that, Aislinn had done very well for herself and my wheels were turning. If she could do it, I knew I could too!

I fit Arbonne into the nooks and crannies. Was it hard? Yes, some days it was. I was exhausted between my job, the farm, the family and Arbonne. I was left with about two hours for sleep. But all that was not nearly as hard as driving the tractor past my oldest son while he played catch by himself, and listening to him beg me to stop and play. I had to say, “Sorry, bud, I can't, I don't have time,” and see the disappointment in his face again. I realized he had been hearing that his whole life ... his mom has never had time. It was hard when I discovered my youngest had learned more letters of the alphabet from a TV show than he had from me. I felt that Arbonne could help change our lives and there would be a day when this mom would have some time.

My belief was always strong and I took all the advice Aislinn had to offer, applied it to my new way of life, and was determined not to quit. I got myself into activity and was able to quit the post office after two months. I am now able to put my life on the calendar and work Arbonne around my non-negotiables. Best of all, this summer I will not be breaking my back in the potato patch!

To Aislinn Rattai: You are an incredible leader and are helping so many become successful ... you've quite the gift! I appreciate all you do for my family, our team, and me. We are so lucky to be on the road to success with the Rattais! But what I am most thankful for is our wonderful friendship. My world is a better place because of you and I love you dearly! You are in my grateful journal every single day!

To my District Managers: Thank you all for “getting it” and jumping in with me. It takes teamwork to make a dream work and I am so lucky and proud to be on this journey with you. Match your activity to your goals and all your dreams will start to unfold. You're on my belt loop, ladies! Next stop: the top! It's your time to shine!

To my lunch ladies, Kerrie Sparrow, Tracey Willms and Brittany Johnston: Thank you for all the great conversation, awesome advice and most of all, the friendships we've made. I cherish you all so much and would never be where I am today if it weren't for your encouraging words!

To everyone in the Kate Martens SuccessLine: Thanks so much for coming to the Presentation, listening to this crazy lady who loves Arbonne, and for all your continued support. You are all a part of something really special and I appreciate you so much! Thank you for helping our family find some balance and being part of this journey with us.

To Elisa, John Darraugh, President Rita Davenport and everyone at the Home Office: Thank you so much for this gift you have given so many. I honestly never thought this would be something I would do, but I'm in for life, proud of it and most of all, I love what I do! Arbonne has given my husband a wife, my children a mother and my family a future. We are all so very grateful.

To the stars in the bright sky, for all the not-so-subtle signs that you all send down from time to time: I know you're always watching and guiding us along. Extra special thanks for “zapping” my Visa credit line and somehow getting that first order approved! Nice job!

To my Why, Nick, Rylee, Hunter and Kyle: Thanks for not giving me too hard of a time when I had to get yet another job. And for all the little things you do to make this a bit easier for me. This is our family's success story and I'm so proud of all four of you. Just think how awesome this summer is going to be ... we'll get to fish more, eat way more sunflowers and yes, Nick, play some catch! And if it rains while we are at the lake, we'll hop into our shiny new Mercedes-Benz and watch a movie or two! I love you all so much! You are the reason I do this!

To my hot husband, Wayne: What can I say to you ... this is as much your journey as it is mine. We are in this together and I love and appreciate all you do to make our dreams come true. I promise you this: We are going to love the rest of our life, you and me. And I love you with every beat of my heart. Always will.

And to you: You've just been given your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Arbonne has found you! Let this be your blessing. Make the time, do the do, and start working toward the life you've envisioned for yourself. The success in Arbonne is inevitable — it's going to happen. Ask yourself this: Wouldn't you rather be a “Glad-I-Did” than a “Wish-I-Would-Have”? Believe in yourself as much as we do in you ... it's your time!
