It is funny how a life-changing moment can happen to us when we least expect it. When I first heard about Arbonne, I defiantly refused to look at it as something I could do. After all, I had a newborn and a 2-year-old occupying my time. That morning, I had gone to my good friend, now NVP Becky Young’s house, and she told me about the new business she was starting with a company called Arbonne. Being from Canada, I had never heard of it before. Becky told me that I had to try the Awaken Sea Salt Scrub. When I did, I fell in love with the smell and the way my hands felt after using it. As soon as she told me I would get one for hosting a Presentation, I quickly volunteered.

I went home that day with a NutriMinC® RE9 anti-aging skin care sample pack. Even though I really did not take care of my skin or have a skin care regimen, the sample pack intrigued me, so I sat down one night and tried it. The first thing I noticed was the way my skin felt after only one use. It was softer and smoother. After a few days, my skin showed an amazing improvement, and both my husband and mother commented on the difference. That was when I knew there was something special about this product.

Although I still did not realize the potential an Arbonne business had to offer, I knew I needed more products! ENVP Sonya Shields came to help Becky with her first Presentation and that night I heard more about the business side of Arbonne and the fact that there were not many Consultants in Saskatchewan, let alone in Canada. The next day, I called my best friend, now RVP Michelle Schaeffer, who was at the Presentation and told her that my mind was racing about this amazing opportunity. She felt the same way, so we decided to jump in together. Before we knew it, we were off and running.

My husband, Steve, and I run a large cattle and grain operation with his family, so there was not much time for Steve to spend with us. He literally worked 354 days a year and rarely had time to enjoy life. I liked my job at the financial institution I was employed at, but hated that it took me away from home and my children. More than anything, I wanted to be able to stay home with them and not have to put them into daycare. Arbonne looked like the perfect fit for me.

My Arbonne journey was not always easy and there were definitely trying times. In the beginning, I had to take my baby with me to my Presentations because I was nursing. But my determination was strong, and where there is a will, there is always a way. Even though I had to make short-term sacrifices, I knew they would, in turn, reap long-term rewards. I already knew where I wanted to go; I just had to work hard to get there and always keep my goals in sight. Sixteen months after signing up, I have reached my goal of becoming an Arbonne RVP.

I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of my team members. I know I would not be here without you. This achievement is a team effort and I am amazed by you all every day. I wish I could say something about each and every one of you and let you know how proud I am of you all. I cannot wait until I get to see everyone one of you reach the goals you have set for yourselves and realize your dreams.

I was extremely blessed to be able to start my business with my first Ace, my best friend, RVP Michelle Schaeffer. She was always there for me and motivated me as much as I motivated her. I always felt like I was her business partner and not her sponsor. We told each other when we started this business that we would go all the way together and I was so happy to be able to promote her to RVP on the same day as I did. Michelle, you are the most amazing person and friend that I have ever had. You are also a fantastic leader to your team.

To AM Sheryl Klein: You are like a little sister to me. I am so happy for you and the blessings in your life — your new son and the incredible team you are building full of your close friends and family.

To DMs Claudine Vanderhulst and Rochelle Gramyk: Your belief in the products and the business will take you and your teams to the top. I am glad we are on this journey together.

To my sweet peas, Lauren and Abby: I know this was not always easy for you when mommy was gone and you did not understand, but I love you both to pieces and now, I can spend more time with you.

To my husband, Steve: You had to juggle your busy schedule to help take care of the kids and be “Mr. Mom,” running home just as I was running out the door to go to meetings. Thank you and I love you! I know it may take some getting used to, being a farmer driving a Mercedes-Benz, but I am sure you can handle it.

To my parents: You helped me out so much with the kids on many nights. I love you and thanks for everything. To my mother-in-law, Jean, and Emma and Bonny: Thanks for also being there for me.

To President Rita Davenport and the rest of the Arbonne family: Thank you for everything you do for all of us here in Canada, and for this truly amazing company.
