SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Keep it simple and sell the dream!”

Ann Kouimtzis of Ottawa, Ontario reluctantly signed up to become an Arbonne Independent Consultant. Her business allows her to stay home with her son, take amazing vacations and drive a Mercedes-Benz ... and she doesn't regret it for a minute!

In April 2010, I was introduced to the Arbonne products by my dear friend, Robyn. She told me the products are pure, safe and beneficial, so I thought they would be great for me and my son. I was a very happy Preferred Client. I had a busy life with my young son, Bennett, I had just started building a new home, and I didn't have time for an Arbonne business ... or so I thought.

I had worked for over 25 years with the Canadian Federal Government. I was making good money and felt successful. What I didn't realize was that I had no free time. I started to get to know other successful women in Arbonne and realized they were also making good money, but they were home with their children. My son was in childcare 11 hours a day. Our lives were rushed — something had to give. At a Presentation one evening, one of my friends decided to build an Arbonne business, but only if I jumped in as well. I told my sponsor, NVP Jennifer Mercier, that I would never do Presentations or public speaking. I was not excited about having signed up. I still felt that selling makeup and skin care was not for me.

A few days later, my neighbour, RVP Amal Elfarou, came to pick up her boys and was upset that she didn't get a job at a spa because she couldn't work evenings and weekends. I told her about the amazing ladies at Arbonne and that I had just signed up. Even without trying the products, she signed up as my first business builder. We did everything together for many months. Amal treats my team like they are her own — she is a superstar and everyone loves her.

I've gone from working and commuting over 11 hours a day to being at home for my son. Nothing is rushed and everything is more fun. We made some short-term “adjustments” for long-term gain. Now I have all the time in the world. The funniest part is that two months into the business, Jennifer made me do my first launch for a new builder. I thought I would die during that Presentation, but I kept doing them and while I can't say I love public speaking, it is so worth it for the life Arbonne has given me.

I'm lucky to have the most amazing team! Thank you to my first business builder and partner in crime, RVP Amal Elfarou. I couldn't have done it without her! She and her incredible team are on fire and I'm so proud of them.

My family has always been supportive — thank you to all of them and to my boyfriend, DM Dave Bekkers. Dave always jokes that he signed up with Arbonne to spend more time with me!

I'd also like to thank my crossline. They truly are the best and I couldn't have done it without their love, support and encouragement. I'm so proud to be in this amazing Nation.

Last, but not least, I really need to thank my son, Bennett, for his patience as I built my Region. He's a superstar. We made a few adjustments over those 10 months, but now we've got it pretty good. He's my biggest supporter, he loves Arbonne and he's always bringing me new Preferred Clients and business builders just by chatting with people and telling them that his mom works for an amazing company that sent us to the Bahamas and allowed us to earn a Mercedes-Benz. Keep it simple and sell the dream — it works!
