I believe everything happens for a reason and your path is already planned out for you before you begin. However, you must also make some crucial decisions on your path. I knew joining Arbonne was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that would truly make a difference in people’s lives. Arbonne is a gift you have to open in order to see what is inside.

My Arbonne journey began over a cup of coffee with my sister in December of 2003. At the time, I was on maternity leave with my second child, Emilie. I knew in my heart that I did not want to return to my full-time job in marketing and design. Due to personal circumstances, I was unable to stay at home with my first child, Braedon, and three-and-a-half years later it was still bothering me. I knew I could not miss out on those first special years in my child’s life again. So, after many days of soul searching, I started researching home-based businesses.

During our conversation over coffee, I explained I was looking for a company new to Canada, specializing in skin care and cosmetics. Miraculously, my sister had the answer I was searching for — Arbonne.

My sister and I attended an opportunity meeting that same week. We listened to stories about the business and product testimonials. I was so excited to try the products and share the product line and business with my friends and family that I decided to join immediately. I jumped into Arbonne with both feet, not knowing if I was going to drown. And, I made a personal commitment to “give it my all” for one year; then, a year later, I would decide if I was going to continue with the business or move on to something else.

Now, here I am, 18 months later and I cannot even describe the growth I have had the potential to experience personally, financially and emotionally. Arbonne has changed my life and the lives of my family members. And, the best part is that my business continues to change and my life continues to get better every day!

Throughout the past year, I had to make some sacrifices (i.e. late nights, early mornings, missed soccer games), however, they have all been worth it. I learned how to deal with rejection, cancellations, no- shows and the lack of belief I had in myself and this opportunity. You must be strong in this business — you gain your strengths every day through experience. You can work this business part time, but not sometimes, and trainings, meetings and NTC are not optional! Your initial investment will help you determine your future. If you do not quit, you will make it. You determine your own success; it is up to you to create it.

I have found personal strength, beautiful friendships and balance with Arbonne. Now, my purpose is to share the business that helps me help others.

To my inspirational AMs, Babett Valachi, Barbara Zaseybida and Laura M. Cotton: Thank you for your friendship and desire to build this business together. You are all delightful women with hearts of gold. I promise if you keep doing what you are doing, your wildest dreams will come true.

To my incredible DMs, Jordan Colberg, Susanna Yau, Deanne Sluggett, Allison Dent, Katie Marshall, Lynette Deans, Rena Benner, Laura Denness, Mischa Prince and Dyan Petterson: Thank you for your hard work. I look forward to presenting you with the keys to your Mercedes-Benzes.

To my amazing Consultants and Clients: Thank you for your support. Without it, I would not be here today.

To my upline, Carol Egleston, Barbara Nelson, Josanne Flemming, Fern Rose and Tammy Mantika: Thank you for sharing the gift of Arbonne. Everything happens for a reason; I believe we are supposed to be here together, helping each other and the people around us.
To my husband, Colin: Words cannot express how much you mean to me. You believed in me even when I had a hard time believing in myself. Thank you for listening to me talk on our steps every night about my game plans, meetings, trainings, etc. You have been so supportive and understanding throughout my journey. I could not have done this without you. I love you.

To Braedon and Emilie: You are my Why. I love you both so much — more than the moon and the stars. Thank you, Emilie, for helping mommy put on her makeup every morning. And, thank you, Braedon, for helping mommy with deliveries.

To my family: Thank you for your continued support. To my mother-in-law, Carol: Thank you for cheering me on every day. You have listened to me for countless hours talk about my business and have always been there for guidance and support. I love you all.
