When I was nine years old, my parents moved us from Nicaragua to Canada, in search for a better life with more opportunity. Traveling back to my home country was always an eye opener, revealing the decision my parents had made, which I have always admired and been thankful to them for. I have always been so grateful to all the many people that helped our family along the way, and felt like I should find a way to pay it forward. I chose a full-time computer industry career but had felt that I was missing something in my life; it was not gratifying enough and I knew that I could offer so much more.

I married my incredible husband, Greg, in 2000. We both love traveling, but once married we let work take over, and felt as if we did not own our lives. Greg has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 15 years. It was really great money, but the lifestyle can be hard, requiring him to be away from home often. We had been waiting to start a family until we know that Greg will be home more than he is gone, and it would be nice to give my husband the option to be in a job that he enjoys doing as opposed to one that simply pays the bills.

That option appeared in early 2006, as I attended an Arbonne Presentation. I knew that the products were great, but I was not in the right frame of mind to explore it further. In April, a good friend from childhood, ERVP Nadine LaCroix, shared with me that she had started a business with Arbonne and asked me if she could show me a little bit about it. I was not interested; however, after looking at the opportunity, I knew that this could really change our lifestyle. After many sleepless nights I knew that I either had to do Arbonne or quit dreaming, so I launched my business days later and began sharing it with my family and friends. I was in love with the Arbonne products and the opportunity, and I really loved that I could do it alongside my fulltime job.

I promoted to DM in my first month, and was so excited to have some of my family members start the business with me. Three months later, I promoted to Area Manager. This is when it really occurred to me that Arbonne could absolutely improve our lives. All I had to do was teach and train people about this wonderful opportunity, helping them reach their goals.

At this point I was still working full time and doing Arbonne part time. My Arbonne business was quickly catching up to my full time salary, so I decided to take a leave from my job. The month I took my leave is the same month I went into qualification for Region. In February 2007, I picked up my Mercedes-Benz, and that truly felt like a huge team accomplishment.

Building my business has definitely met some challenges and obstacles. The biggest challenges were having people very close to me quit their business, dreamstealers being negative and unsupportive, as well as personal struggles of getting past my own fears of failure. The month that I promoted to RVP is the month that I did the most personal growth. Positive affirmations, and visualizing and believing that the Mercedes-Benz was already in my driveway, was huge for my business. I attribute my success to writing down very clear and specific goals on a monthly and weekly basis. I viewed those goals daily and got myself into massive activity. I finished Region with minutes to spare. It is in that last day, the last hours and the final minutes that promotions are made and lives are changed.

I am still working Arbonne part time, but now I am involved in activities that give back to my community and that I absolutely enjoy doing. I love the freedom that Arbonne has provided Greg and I — we are so excited for we know that our future is full of endless possibilities.

To ERVP Nadine LaCroix, thank you so much for being persistent in sharing the opportunity with me. You are an incredible leader and a wonderful friend. I have loved sharing this wonderful journey with you and look forward to going all the way to the top with you.

To my Area Managers Kim Walker, Amanda Green, Heather Kostuk and Leann Mossey, I cannot brag enough about you. You truly inspire me to work my own business and my self harder, so that I can be the leader that you deserve.

To EDM Sheryl Lokseth, you have such an incredible Why, and I look forward to your early retirement party. To EDM Denika Rauch, I believe in you and am so happy that Arbonne has brought us closer together. To EDM Darcy Schalin and Caralee Parr, I love how I did not know either one of you before Arbonne and now I cannot imagine my life without either of you. You are both NVPs in the making, and I know that you will be sitting in the leather very soon.

To my DMs and the rest of my Region, Arbonne will take you to where you want to go. Dream big and visualize your destination daily. This is a serious business with massive rewards; all you have to do is belief that you can do it. Take control of your vehicle and never ever let anyone else take the driver seat — you control your future.

To my family and friends, thank you for believing me. Your support has always been very important to me.

To my very best friend and wonderful husband, Greg, you are amazing. Every day I wake up, I am so thankful that I have been blessed with such an incredible man to share the rest of my life with. Thank you for all your encouragement, belief, patience and cheerleading. I am really looking forward in helping you fulfill your dreams very soon.
