You never know what's waiting around the corner. You don't know what you could be saying no to unless you try! What are your reasons not to?

As a young girl, I always prided myself on working hard. After I graduated from nursing school, I knew what working hard really meant. I worked many areas in the hospital, but spent the majority of my time in medical/surgical neurosurgery. Although my shifts were long and demanding, I found the work exciting and I had a team of amazing people who made it a pleasure, even on the really challenging days. If you had asked me if I would ever consider changing my career path, I would have laughed. After I graduated, I had to work a lot in order to repay the relatively large student loan debt I had incurred. I worked lots of overtime, hoping to make a dent in that debt, but instead I was becoming increasingly worn out and I no longer felt a sense of satisfaction working as a nurse. I knew I was meant to help people, but I didn't feel as though I were accomplishing that goal. I was definitely trading my time for money.

I was introduced to Arbonne through a good friend of mine. When she asked me to do this business with her, I thought she was joking. I naturally assumed this “type” of business was for the stay-at home mom type, which is not me. I had a career I had studied four years to pursue, and I did not see the advantage of leaving it or adding anything more to my already full plate. I was not a cosmetics person, nor did I use a skin care program, because my skin was very sensitive and would break out whenever I used any sort of “system.” When I learned about the Arbonne difference and started using the products, I was impressed. I was scared to try them at first, for fear my skin would react negatively, but I was surprised to find that my skin had never looked better. I had nurses asking me for samples because they could see a difference in my skin and wanted to try it, too. I shared the products with my mom and she experienced results as well. In fact, I actually convinced her to start her own Arbonne business. Now that's results!

At the beginning of my Arbonne journey, I didn't know what to expect. I didn't expect to meet such wonderful people or experience such life-changing events. I started attending meetings and the professionalism, both at the Home Office and in the Field, had a huge impact on me and my belief in this company. I couldn't believe how inspired I became and how excited these Independent Consultants made me every time they spoke. I still cannot believe that this is my job. Every day is something new — you never know what to expect. I love that!

I became a District Manager in my first two months of business and an Area Manager in the next two months! I had been given the gift of time, and was able to live on the income from my Arbonne business, supplementing with occasional nursing shifts. I had time to spend with my friends and family, I had a renewed sense of life, and I found myself able to enjoy things without feeling tired all the time. I found passion again. I love what I do. I love the women on my team who inspire me every day to be the best I can be. I love that you can grow in this business, and as you grow, your business grows. I enjoy a true sense of personal satisfaction, which I have never found anywhere else. I am able to make a difference in the lives of those with whom I share these amazing products and opportunity. I have been so blessed to spend time with friends — the ones I knew before Arbonne and the ones I met through Arbonne — to learn from them and continue to grow with them. I get to celebrate my team's successes! I love the “success building success” principle — there is nothing else out there like it. My job is to make someone else successful at what they do, which is true satisfaction!

I have so many people to thank for giving me the gift of time and freedom to live life the way I love. First, my husband, Justin. He is more than I can put into words. Supportive in all ways, someone I can always count on to be there for me. He is inspiring and helps me be the best I can be. He always reminds me of what is really important in this world. A true 10 out of 10 husband!

My exceptional team deserves almost all of the recognition, because without them I would not be where I am today! I am forever grateful to all of the women who have been part of my journey. Celebrating with you makes this job one of my favorite things to do. You inspire me to be a better leader, to be compassionate, and to remain in a place of gratitude. To each of you who do Arbonne because you love it, love the products and love being part of this fantastic journey: Take a road less travelled and meet your destiny!

This business has also given me an amazing crossline. I am so grateful to be working alongside some of the most amazing women I have ever met, who inspire me to see myself as greater than I am.

Last, but not least, to my family, who show their support both in actions and in words. My family has been there to support me and celebrate my success. I wouldn't be here today without them. My mom always says, be the best of the best ... and we are!
