SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Together, we can create the life of our dreams.”

Helena DeBruyn of Ancaster, Ontario, knew exactly what she wanted, but a perfect opportunity was hard to find! She had a long list of objections at the start of her journey, but she realized there was a lot to gain, and little to lose.

What an incredible two years this has been! It is still surreal how fast this business has grown, but better yet is how I have grown as a person. This is my passion and my Plan A; however, it did not start that way.

When I was first introduced to Arbonne by my sister-in-law, best friend and sponsor, Tabatha DeBruyn, I didn't even want to try the product. I was trained in esthetics and thought if it wasn't sold in a salon, it was toxic. I love Tab and truly wanted to give her my feedback. I thought my feedback was going to be, "Run!" But after trying the RE9™ line for three days, I was hooked on the results and the safe, pure, beneficial aspect of Arbonne.

At that time, I was a stay-at-home mom with four beautiful children, Austin, Raven, Devon and Teagan. I was struggling; I loved being home with the kids, but I needed something outside the four walls of our home. My husband would come home from work, and I would be starving for adult conversation and attack him as soon as he walked in. One day he said, "Honey, I'm tired. I talked all day — you need a hobby!" I tried, but we were living on one income with four children. Every hobby costs money, especially mine ... shopping!

That's when I started to look for a part-time job. I was picky. I wanted the flexibility of being home with the kids in the morning and after school, I wanted to be heavily involved in their extra-curricular activities, and I wasn't willing to work for minimum wage (childcare would cost more than my wage). I wanted to make my own schedule and not be told when I had to work. Needless to say, that job is hard to find! That's when my brilliant sister-in-law said, "You should do Arbonne with me — you would be amazing!" I thought she had lost her mind! I didn't really enjoy being around people, I had no warm market, and I was deathly afraid to talk to people. I thought there was no way this could work for me. Then my husband said, "So what if it doesn't work? We will have a home full of safe products, which you would have bought regardless, and the incredible opportunity of a home-based business. But what if it does work? What if this is the thing that lets us save for the kids' education? What if this is our vacation fund? What if this is our retirement plan? What if this lets us enjoy more of what life has to offer?" How could I say no to that? I jumped in feet first, committed to making this work no matter what!

Thank goodness I did, because it does work. We are living the life of our dreams and no longer worry about what will happen in our retirement years! I have created a generous income and choices in our lives. But in order to get something different, I had to branch way out of my comfort zone and do something different. Now, I can't imagine my life any other way.

The recognition and rewards like the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus Program, trips and jewelry are amazing. Putting my life before my business is priceless. The personal growth is more than I could have dreamed of. But the best part is the people and the culture. I love people now — that's an incredible thing! We have built more than a huge, multi-million dollar business ... we have built a family. I love what I do, and I am building lifelong friendships along the way. I feel that together, we can create the life of our dreams, and I have built my business on that fundamental philosophy.

Before Arbonne came into my life, I had stopped dreaming. For my family and me, Arbonne was the solution, it was my vehicle, and it was my way to take control of my life. Now, I am dreaming bigger than I have ever dreamt in my life, and I am helping many others do the same.

If there is only one thing I could say to you, it would be, "Why not you?" Two years ago, I nearly talked myself out of this opportunity, saying, "I'm too busy, I'm not smart enough, I don't know enough people, I'm too shy," and the list goes on. I could come up with 100 reasons why I could never be the one driving the Benz. I am here to tell you that I am a regular person with strengths, weaknesses, fears and desires. I stepped out of my comfort zone to do something different, and because of that, I'm living an extraordinary life. If I can do it, why not you? Different can be scary — get over that hurdle and try. Ask yourself, "What if it does work?" You may find it is the thing that lets you have the life of your dreams.

To ENVP Tabatha DeBruyn: The thing I am most grateful for in this journey is our friendship. There is no one I can be more myself with than you. I was born an only child, but now I have a sister, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I look forward to growing old together, looking fabulous! You are the most supportive person I know. Thank you for all you do for the team.

To ENVP Camilla Scott: Thank you for your committed leadership and passion! You are an inspirational woman, and I look forward to many vacations together with our families.

To RVP Natalie Comeau: You were my first teammate and the one who got me thinking this might actually work. You light up a room every time you step in and are the most positive, uplifting person I know. I am so grateful you said yes! Next stop: Maui. I can't wait to celebrate together.

To RVP Sarah Pass: I love that you took five months to say yes and started this journey looking for "a little lulu money." When you jumped in, you jumped in feet first — 11 months to RVP is incredible! I love how you are always thinking outside of the box. Looking forward to watching our kids play together on the beach.

To my Area Managers, Candace Tebow, Janice Moreton, Stephanie LaCroix, Julie Henwood, Colleen Petersen, Susan O'Conner, Matt Comeau, Melissa Marr, Rhonda Good and Holly Floyd: You are such incredible people who are all so deserving of everything life has to offer. I am fortunate to have you on this journey with me. Before Arbonne, I was a stone wall; I never cried! I will cry at your car presentations, and I can't wait!

To my District Managers, Cheryl, Tara, Lisa and Abbie: Your journey is just beginning, and what an incredible journey it will be. Keep your blinders on, your head down, and enjoy every step of the journey.

To the entire Nation: Keep the vision huge! This opportunity is changing lives. I am here to help you and am so grateful you have started this journey. Have fun and stay focused, right to the top!

To my good friends Lisa and Brandy: Thank you for your patience and understanding. You have kept me grounded and helped me laugh. You are incredible friends, and I am so lucky to have you in my life. I can't wait for our trip to New York City together. No one will have more fun than us!

To my parents, Don and Sonja Paquette: You have supported me since day one. You are my best clients and have encouraged me with everything I have ever done. Dad, you gave me my work ethic and drive, and for that I will be forever grateful. Mom, you gave me a sense of balance, knowing that it's okay to want more and that I deserve all life has to offer. I love you both, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To my in-laws, Tony and Barb DeBruyn: You have been such an incredible support system with the kids; they light up every time they see you. I am so grateful to have you in our lives.

To my husband, Corey: You are my soul mate, my rock, my inspiration, my sounding board. You help me see the positive in everything; you keep me dreaming huge and feeling excited about life. I am so grateful for your support and encouragement. I am so grateful for you! I love you more than words can express and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

To my children, Austin, Raven, Devon and Teagan: You are the reason I began this journey in the first place. I want you to enjoy everything life has to offer. I hope I have shown you that with drive, passion and hard work, anything is possible. I love you more than words can say, even when you drive me crazy.

To the Arbonne Home Office: Thank you for your consistent support and encouragement.
