SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Fall in love with the process and remember to give it enough time.”

Keri Copcutt of Dundas, Ontario needed to return to work after nearly a decade at home with her children. She had heard of Arbonne before, and finally her need for it opened her eyes.

“I think you need to go back to work.” These words completely rocked my world in January 2009. I was 45 years old and had been out of the corporate world for over nine years raising my children.

Often the challenges we face disguise amazing opportunities. Realizing that I no longer felt the desire to work for someone else, I began my hunt for alternatives. Luckily, I had been introduced to Arbonne in 2006 while attending a health expo in Toronto, Ontario. At the time, I was content staying home with the kids and putting my holistic passion to use in making my own skin care products. So when ENVP Valerie Edwards introduced me to the business, I said no thank you. In fact, I didn't respond once in three years to the regular emails, phone calls and invitations she sent my way! I'll always be grateful she was consistent with her follow-up, because when my need changed, so did my openness to the business.

The more I learned, the more excited I became. Here was a business that aligned with my beliefs and provided pure, safe and beneficial products I could feel confident recommending. As a holistic practitioner and trained Aesthetician, this was extremely important to me. I needed to truly believe in the business I would represent.

My husband, Paul and I reviewed the business plan and realized that if I worked hard, I had the opportunity to be well compensated. I was terrified that I might not be able to do it. However, with Paul's business experiencing major losses, I had to do something that would allow me to stay home while earning additional income. With Valerie's guidance, I took a leap of faith and signed up in March 2009.

Fast forward to November 2010. Our team had grown steadily and I had been an AM for just over one year. Many people had encouraged me to go Region, but I didn't feel ready. This changed when my good friend, EAM Gina Alfieri, went into qualification. While cheering her on, I truly realized it was just a decision, and I made mine. With my team's blessing, we went for it and in November 2010, we sailed into qualification.

Then life hit once again. In early December, my wonderful, handsome and incredibly supportive husband was diagnosed with throat cancer! It would have been easy to stay an Area Manager, but Paul said that wouldn't be right. We needed to show the team this was still achievable, no matter what else was happening in life. We forged ahead and with the support of my wonderful team, we finished in January 2011. Out of something horrible arose something amazing!

The support of my upline and downline made this possible — something I am truly humbled by. Thank you, ENVP Valerie Edwards, for never giving up on me and for bringing our family the gift of Arbonne! To my entire upline — ENVPs Christy Dreiling, Linda Loveless and Kim Hoffman — and all the ENVPs above them: Despite the distance, your support is always felt and appreciated.

To Kim Townsend: Thank you so much for being the first person to say yes.

To EAM Sian McGregor, with whom I shared the first glimpse of what it would look like to get to RVP: Thank you. To AM Michelle Bultje: I cherish your unwavering belief and support.

To EDM Denise Contestabile, DM Lesley Dionissopoulos, EDM Tonya Barasevic, DM Alissa Aboud, DM Kelly Graves and DM Julie Van Dasselaar: Thank you for believing!

To Debbie Carrick, Robin Shculberger, Monica Reimer, Carmen Korn and Brenda McWaters: It is all achievable. To all the Consultants who have promoted-out since, including AM Melanie Bartels: The best is yet to come.

To my beautiful Why, Aidan and Bryn: Thank you for being my biggest supporters; you light my way and I love you all the way. To my husband, Paul, with whom I take this journey and every journey: Life is so much fuller with your wonderful humour, patience and love, and I cannot wait to spend the time Arbonne gives us living the adventures we dream of. Love you, Babe. To my sister: Your belief in me was often bigger than my own, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

To everyone at the U.S. and Canada Home Offices: Thank you for everything you do and for helping to make us look like stars.

Everyone deserves to experience the personal growth and rewards Arbonne has to offer, and I will continue to share the gift that keeps on giving.
