SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Keep your head and heart in the game and always have a 'no matter what' attitude.”

It is funny how one encounter can change your whole life. My decision to become an Arbonne Independent Consultant surprised not only me, but a lot of others, too.

In 2002, my husband Bob had retired from the Army after 21 years to start a new job in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Our son, Jesse, was off to college to start a new career as a Forestry Officer. I decided I would open my own stained glass studio. Life was great! I loved what I was doing.

In September of 2006, I was introduced to Arbonne by a customer, Brandi Rayner. She told me she had started a new home-based business with Arbonne, and asked if I would be interested in trying the anti-aging skin care products. She had supported my business over the years, so I decided to reciprocate and support hers.

I took the NutriMinC® RE9™ set home, not really expecting anything. After using it just once, I was blown away by how it made my skin feel. The results were amazing. Two days later, when my husband noticed that my skin looked better, I was sold on the product.

When Brandi told me about the business end of Arbonne, I replied that I had a great business already. She knew I loved what I was doing, but she also knew how hard I worked. I was working eight to 10 hours a day, sometimes seven days a week, to keep up with commission work. If I wasn't working, I wasn't making any money. I realized that I was trading time for money and missing out on life with my family. Brandi invited me to an opportunity meeting on an upcoming Thursday. I knew nothing about network marketing or Arbonne, but that soon changed.

I went to the meeting and listened with an open mind. I took in all that was said that night. ENVP Jaclyne Hoffner asked a few questions that I had never thought of before then. Do you have a plan B? If you keep doing what you are doing, where will you be in three years? If you could work part-time hours and make full-time money, would you be interested? I went home that night and told Bob I was going to start a home-based business with Arbonne. He just looked at me and asked where I was going to find the time to do it. I told him that I had no idea. I knew it would be hard work, but I have never been afraid of that. In my heart I knew this was my opportunity to give Bob back the life he has given me and Jesse. That is why I do this business. With Arbonne, dream big and grow into it!

I was already committed to my glass business, so I worked my Arbonne business in the nooks and crannies of my day. One year later, I moved my stained glass business home.

I went to every meeting and training session I could, listened to Arbonne Learn & Burn recordings several times a week, and once a month I drove for five hours to our Nation meetings. I wanted to learn everything I could about this amazing company.

In February of 2009, I was invited by ENVP Sonya Shields to a retreat in Scottsdale, Arizona. The training was unbelievable. I also had the opportunity to meet the most amazing women, including Neta Irwin and President Rita Davenport. While in Arizona, I had my “aha” moment. I went home with a new outlook on life and my Arbonne business. I decided that it was time for me to get into massive activity and build the business I had always envisioned.

I contacted the amazing girls on my team, called the people I wanted on my team, asked them to join my business, and we all went to work. When you have a “no matter what” attitude, nothing can stand in your way.

I have been blessed with a wonderful team and I am honoured by these amazing people who came into my life.

To my incredible upline, ENVP Sonya Shields, ENVP Becky Young, ERVP Billie Long and ENVP Jaclyne Hoffner: Thank you so much for your friendship and guidance. You have blazed the trail for us here in Canada and I am so proud to be in your SuccessLine. Jaclyne, we have become such great friends. You have been there for me and my team when we needed you most. For that, we are forever grateful.

To CEO Kay Napier and President Rita Davenport: Thank you for all you do. You both set such an example of what this company stands for.

To John Darraugh and the team at Arbonne Canada: Thank you for all your support.
