SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”

As I am writing my story, I literally have to pinch myself. Three years ago, I was just another employee among thousands, working my eight-to-four job Monday to Friday, and frankly not loving it at all. During my 21 years of service in the Canadian Federal Government, I have to be honest that for the first couple of years, I was happy to have joined an organization where I had the financial security, the pension and the vacations, but after a few years I really felt like I had put on those golden handcuffs and was not going anywhere. If I wanted to promote to another level, I had to compete with hundreds of people for that one position.

I was trading my time for money, waking up to an alarm clock every day. I remember repeatedly saying to myself and my friends, “Is it payday?” “Is it Friday?” “Thank God it's Friday!” You get the picture. I was wishing my life away and had that pit in my stomach on Sunday nights, dreading going back to my routine on Monday mornings.

I was going through the motions week after week, putting my dreams on a shelf and forgetting about them. I could not see myself spending another 15 years in a 10-by-10 cubicle trading my time for money. I seriously needed to make a change. I wanted to own my life and live it the way I wanted to, but nothing was ever the right fit for me ... until I met Milva Kennedy, who changed everything. Milva was a stranger to me until my partner introduced me to her husband, who in turn introduced me to her. Milva was so excited about her new business, she handed me my Arbonne “lottery ticket,” and even though I did not know it at the time, I had the winning numbers right in front of me. It was my decision whether to cash it in or not.

Once I found out Arbonne was brand new to Canada and going global, I dove in to this opportunity with both feet. Yes, I cashed it in.

I wanted to be on that boat to success, not swimming behind it. I knew in my heart that I was making the right decision to join Milva in this adventure. Unlike most people who study this opportunity and research it before deciding, I did the opposite and jumped in right away. Thank God I did!

NVP Milva Kennedy and I are among the pioneers of Arbonne Ottawa, so we both learned as we went along. Through good days and bad days, we never forgot that we were sitting on a gold mine and going to the top, whatever it took. I got into immediate activity, started to build an amazing business alongside my full-time job, and was able to finally take the golden handcuffs off and own my life 18 months later.

Through my Arbonne journey, I realized that the reason I never succeeded at previous endeavours was that I always quit before payday. I never pushed beyond the bumps in the road or overcame the obstacles that came my way and gave it a chance — mostly I didn't believe in myself. Arbonne is different, because we have tremendous support and are never alone. My advice to you is never quit before payday, and believe in yourself.

Every day I meet people who change my life. I make so many close friends in Canada and abroad. The encouragement, the support, the recognition, the love and generosity we get from Arbonne has changed me personally, financially and spiritually.

Two and a half years later, I promoted as the first male RVP in Canada, and I am excited beyond belief! I never in a million years thought something like this would happen to me, but thanks to Arbonne and my belief, my dreams are not dreams anymore, but reality.

If anyone reading my story finds themselves in the same situation I was in, take my advice and jump in to the greatest adventure and opportunity that ever existed. Listen to the person who is sharing this gift with you, take that winning ticket and cash it in, and ride the wave to success. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

To NVP Milva Kennedy: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to this amazing, life-changing experience. What can I say? Thank you for making me a better person. Thank you for giving me the gift of Arbonne. I love you so very much! God bless you.

To Roger Ferland: Thank you so much for always having the belief in me from day one, when I came to you with this new endeavour. Thank you for your support, encouragement and belief in me. I love you.

To ENVP Debbie Neal: Thank you for spreading your Arbonne wings in Canada. Your leadership, encouragement, constant dedication to this team and love has made me who I am today.

To my amazing team: Thank you for your belief in me, your support and your dedication to Arbonne. I also want to thank each and every one of you for all you do, your love, passion and commitment.

To President Rita Davenport: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do for us. Thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement.

To my family: Thank you for always being there to encourage me and thank you for believing in me. I love you all so much.

To my amazing crossline in Canada, the U.S., the UK and Australia: You guys rock! Thank you for your words of wisdom and for always cheering me on. I love you all.
