SUCCESS STRATEGY:

“Dreams never expire.”

My life before Arbonne was very routine. Our family is very busy and always going in different directions. My job was to make sure everybody got to where they were going with everything they needed. My husband, Todd, works away from home most of the year, so that left me at home with our four children, running after them in their many activities. I love watching them in the rodeo arena, hockey rink and school activities. Their passion to win and their feeling of accomplishment inspired me to do it for myself.

Ever since I can remember, I have dreamed of becoming a professional barrel racer, and my goal was to be a Canadian champion. I worked very hard to make my dream a reality. When the kids went to school, I rode my horse, working hard toward my life-long goal.

I soon realized that what you really want does not come easily. It was going to take money to fulfill this goal. Rodeo is a very expensive sport. Todd would humor me for a while with funds, but I feared it would cause too much stress between us. So I had to find a job — a job that would allow me all the time that I needed with the kids, plus time to ride my horse. It seemed hopeless.

Then, Arbonne came into my life. Well, not right off the get-go. I was a stubborn seed to ENVP Sonya Shields. I turned her down flat when she approached me about the business. I scheduled a Presentation for her, and then later cancelled. I do not know why she did not give up on me — thank God she did not. I got my third chance when I went to a home Presentation. Sonya told me how I could save money on great products and have the potential to earn a great income, too. She piqued my interest, so I became a Consultant, well on my way to District Manager. That was two years ago.

What is the key to my success of becoming an ENVP? I learned to become a leader, one that I would follow. I did not have that passion and belief in my business at the beginning. It took me a long time to overcome my fear of training other people, and I had to work hard at it. I have really stepped up my business the last six months and started holding myself accountable for my successes and failures. This is huge. You need to be honest with yourself and not sugarcoat anything. You know when you are not holding up your end of the deal, and so does your team. Secondly, I never ask my team to do anything I am not willing to do. How can I share and grow with my SuccessLine if I have not done it myself? You can only lie your way through it for so long before they get bored and clue in, leaving you in the dust. Thirdly, set goals — say them out loud to your family and team. Let them in on your monthly goals and your life-long goals. Write them down, look at them every day and say them out loud. This will make them more powerful.

I have learned so much on my journey to ENVP. I learned that this is a gift you need to share with others. Your success in Arbonne is measured by how much you can change other people’s lives. It is a gift — share it.

Arbonne has given my family choices and more control over our lives. It has given me the opportunity to help my family with finances. It has allowed me to give my husband part of his life back and give my kids more time with their dad. My Arbonne experience has taken me down a road of personal growth. I will never stop growing, because dreams never expire.

Thank you to my amazing team. I share my successes with you. All of you are NVPs. Thank you for joining me in Arbonne. We are the pioneers in Canada!

To the Arbonne Canada Home Office: Thanks to all the people who work so hard behind the scenes to make Arbonne events so awesome.

To Stuart: Thank you for believing in a stay-at-home mom. Your guidance and vision in all the VPs is so awesome. We all love you!

To John, the music man: You are the only guy, besides Stuart, who can name the singer and title of every song ever written. That, my friend, is a talent. You have a song for every situation, and you use that as a tool to bring our best. You have a huge heart with a place for everyone in Arbonne. Thanks for always making me feel special.

To District Managers and Consultants: If you can go District, you can go Nation. Attach yourselves to the activity, not the outcome. Have a strong belief in yourself, because there will be people along the way who do not see the big picture.

To RVP Corina Dixon: You have it all in the palm of your hands. Your spirit and passion for life flows out of you. Thank you for all you do and all you have done. You are a very special person, and I am grateful for the vision that you share with everyone you meet. I know you will make all your Arbonne and rodeo dreams come true. I believe in you!

To RVP Nicole Smith: I know how proud you are of your family and the support you give them is amazing. What you built with your Arbonne business has made your family very proud. I thought that the girls got their competitive streak from their dad. I know now that they got it from both of you. Taylor, Sammy and Kennedy are very lucky to have a role model like you. I am very proud of you. You deserve the best!

To my first Ace, NVP Karen Skeels: You are so gifted when it comes to sharing the Arbonne story. You have taught so many to be leaders – thank you, thank you, thank you… Never lose your lust for this business or life. You are a ray of sunshine and a great friend. Thank you for holding a spot for me at the top! You definitely “got skeels.”

To my sponsor and friend, ENVP Sonya Shields: I owe you so much — more than words can say. Thank God you did not give up on me. You are the lifeline of Arbonne Canada. Save me a spot on the beach. I love ya!

Now, to my cheering section! To my aunts: I am so glad you love Arbonne. This would never have happened without your endless love and support. You all mean so much to me.

To Kelly: No matter what I try to accomplish, you are there supporting me. I am so lucky to have you as my sister. You have the biggest heart!

To my mom: You are always cheering me on and believing, no matter what, that I could do anything if I put my mind to it. You have overcome obstacles in your life and that has made me very proud. Do not ever stop dreaming. Mom, you deserve the best!

To Cranna: Thanks to you, my head never gets too big. You keep me grounded and help me stay focused on things that are very important to me. My circle is complete because you are in it. You are the best traveling partner I could ever have. Thanks for always believing in me and for your constant support.

To my kids, Mackenzie, Cawl, Kayde and Jackson: You are my biggest accomplishment. Your dad and I are so lucky to have you. We could not ask for better kids. You keep us laughing and teach us not to take life so seriously, and to enjoy the moments. I love you very much. Remember, I am thinking of you even when I am doing Arbonne. You are the reason I want to be a better person. Never settle for less. Set your sights high and go for it. I believe in you. I love you with all of my heart.

To my husband, Todd: You are the reason for all of this. I wanted to make you proud and I now know that you were proud of me long before Arbonne came into our lives. I had to have something for myself aside from being a mom and wife. Thank you for allowing me to do that. It feels great to be able to contribute to our life together. I am a better person for it. I am looking forward to when you do not have to work so hard, and to waking up beside you every morning. Thank you for your support in all that I take on. I know I have a full plate, but I can do anything as long as you are with me. You are my soft place to fall. I love you so much.

I will end with this: Whatever you vividly imagine and sincerely believe in, enthusiastically act upon it. It will inevitably come to pass. Dream big, because dreams never expire!
